Smart Car Astonishes with Smart Install

Autotronics is Livin’ Loud in a tiny, energy-saving way. A smart car got a KICKER audio makeover, and it’s even more fun to drive! Autotronics of Great Britain loaded the car up with a 2,200-watt system comprising of six 6.5-inch RS-Series Speaker system pairs, two more sets of 5.25-inch RS-Series speaker systems, and then two 12-inch CompVR subwoofers and two more 10-inch CompVRs to shock everyone it passes. The speakers are driven by four DX300.2 amps and a couple of ZX1000.1 subwoofer amps, creating the ultimate KICKER sound.

This outrageous system in this undersized car is fueled by an Alpine CDA-105RI source unit that feeds signal to a 30-band equalizer. Five 7-inch LCD screens add to the entertainment, including an additional pair that raise and lower on linear actuators in the trunk. A total body renovation makes this car truly unique.

Autotronics has achieved something of a first in the smart, creating a single-seat, center-driving position with relocated steering column, heating system, and using a foot-pedal handbrake system,” said Neil Hunt of ME News magazine. “The custom fiberglass dash houses the gear selector as well as the ignition. The whole install is an incredible build in fiberglass.”

This car is as good on the ears as it is on the gas mileage, making driving it around town fun and environmentally friendly. Launched in spring 2009 at the International Styling and Tuning Show in England’s Donington Park, the smart car was a main attraction. Catch the car buzzing around England or on the showroom floor at Autotronics!
