Model HS8
Add thumping bass and an amp in the tightest locations!

Get genuine KICKER replacement parts here!

KICKER's legendary subwoofer technology continues to lead the way for clear-sounding, ground-pounding bass in a vehicle. It's incorporated into KICKER's latest bass machine, the brand's first compact powered subwoofer and an International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovations award winner for design and engineering.

The KICKER Hideaway Compact Powered Subwoofer delivers surprising low frequency output from a remarkably small enclosure, setting a new standard in plug-and-play bass performance and convenience in a vehicle. At just over three inches high and nearly 14 inches long, the Hideaway combines a 150-watt amplifier and an 8-inch subwoofer to add thumping bass to any vehicle from the tightest locations. It also provides a quick-connect power plug and Velcro®-fastened nylon straps for secure installation and simple but fast removal.

KICKER Senior Vice President Charlie Schultz said, "Our president Steve Irby was intimately involved in the design process with the KICKER Research and Development team, and they nailed it with the Hideaway Powered Subwoofer."

"The output is amazing," said Irby during listening tests.

The quick-connect Molex® plug and harness entails power, signal and remote turn-on. The Hideaway comes with a remote bass control for fine-tuning bass levels, adjustable low-pass crossover, variable +6dB bass boost, phase-cancelling switch for max output and two automatic turn-on options. It also features high- and low-level inputs for integration with nearly any factory or aftermarket head unit.

great product!

i bought the kicker hideaway for my 1992 ford ranger single cab and it is perfect. its nice clear base and it also kicks! very happy with it. it was a little pain that i had to creat my own way to hook it up to my rca wires since i was not aware i had to order it seprate but it worked out fine. very happy with this item! would recommend it to all my friends!

hideaway 8

i love this little thing. i have this in my pontiac fiero gt 1985 and it works great. fits behind seat did not have to move the seat up to fit it. sounds good with windows up or down or the roof off. im thing of getting another one for behind my seat to fill it all the sound up

Pleasantly Surprised.

Car: 1982 Firebird

It's tiny compared to just about anything else. The subwoofer is only the size of an amplifier!
Decent Bass for the size, adds the missing lows that my 6x9's just can't produce, and does it loud enough to be heard over the rest if you desire.
Remote bass control allows me to adjust on the fly, I really like that.
Comes with Velcro straps, I was able to rig them so I didn't need to drill any mounting holes (This was a big plus for me, hate drilling into my car)

There could be a *little* more bass, but for the size, I can't truly complain.
Remote turn on wire should have been longer (Was only about 2-3 feet, I had to extend it 5 feet to reach my fusebox)
Needs to have RCA inputs on the unit, or include the adapter for the input lines to connect RCA plugs. I was not happy to have to splice RCA cables onto the input lines.

Overall, I'd give it a 4/5. Good bass, small size make it a perfect choice for the F-body enthusiast who wants a bit of bass but doesn't want to sacrifice any cargo space.
