Solo-Baric L7
KICKER's authentic and original square subwoofer. Ground-breaking design that started it all. Imitated, but NEVER duplicated.

Solo-Baric L7 Subwoofer technology continues to maintain the title as the first and foremost authority on bass. It was the world’s first patented square subwoofer, supplying the extra decibels needed for deep, musical bass in a mobile audio system.

“Bass is what we are all about… it’s our specialty,” KICKER founder and President Steve Irby said. “From the very start, we’ve been known for rich sound – it’s the KICKER heritage, and it’s carried out through all we do.”

The Solo-Baric’s cutting-edge, square-sub design ultimately means more cone area, more air displacement and, therefore, more decibels than a conventional round woofer. With a patented corner-ribbed, double-stitched Santoprene® surround helping to hold the massive motor structure in place, the Solo-Baric L7 provides durability at a high excursion without compromising sound quality.

“We’ve got the accuracy, but we also have the intensity,” Irby said. “When we listen (during testing), we listen to it loud – we know there is no distortion. We make sure of it.”

Available in 8-, 10-, 12- and 15-inch models, the Solo-Baric L7’s highly-engineered motor structure handles huge power and provides extreme output. With heavy-duty, ribbon tinsel leads intertwined with semi-progressive spider technology, the square sub promises dependability when pushed to the limit, while dual voice coils with high-temp copper windings easily handle intense heat and power levels.

In addition to the unshakable structure, the Solo-Baric revolves around KICKER’s most advanced cone design, the injection-molded SoloKon™, which adds targeted strength for reliable performance and accurate response. The 360-degree, constant-contact back bracing adheres directly to every contour of the SoloKon square cone, maximizing the mechanical coupling of the motor while making the woofer as strong and responsive as possible.

Venting in SoloKon’s back-bracing and along the perimeter of the spider landing provides maximum air-flow to cool the voice coils during operation. The woofer utilizes a high-mass, extended pole piece to aid in heat dissipation.

The distinctive cast-aluminum basket provides a strong motor foundation, maintaining a low temperature and a mild magnetic field for the most efficient motion, as well as protecting the Solo-Baric’s specialized inner workings. The Solo-Baric L7 woofer remains available in 2-Ohm or 4-Ohm DVC and conducts business from a sealed- or vented-box application.

2 08.15L7 Dual 2 with 2 Rockford Fosgate Constant Power 1000.1bd

So I had 2 Kicker 06 12 L7's running off of 2 Kicker zx750.1 with a Rockford T600-2 with 2 6.5 o2 Mids and 2 5 1/4 o2 Mids... and boy was that shaking everything... sounded great but I had 2 JL Audio 13.5w7's in my old ride... so I needed more... had 2 08 15 L7's I got for lending someone my car so he didn't loser his job.... had them sitting in my closet for about 6 months. Didn't want the b.s. boxes they pre-make they are cheap I broke the box for my 12's why would I pay 150 for a box I broke with 12's... So I had a box made... cost normally 700 to make but I paid 325 for a guy it... 1" Lightweight MDF wood for my 15" L7's... My subs were Dual 2 ohm... so I went to order the Zx 1000.1 online but I was looking at the specs and for some reason they would never work at max power for these subs so I called KIcker and they told me that these subs were designed to work with amps from other companies... so I had no choice but to buy other amps so I bought the Rockford Fosgate 1000.1bd CP. Never had a problem with Rockford but being that when I bought the zx 750.1 for my old setup I was so satisfied with them couldn't believe that they worked so well.. But anyhow. So I finally get to install my new setup... 2 15 L7's in a custom ported 7-8 cubic feet box... 2 Rockford t1000.1bd CP, 1 Rockford t600-4 running 2 8" Beyma Competition, 2 6" Beyma Competition and 2 5 1/4 o2 (Oxygen Audio) and 1 Rockford t600-2 running 2 10" E.V.'s... this was not only bassing like crazy but you could here is from far... You can't even breath or swallow when the bass hits... def worth every penny of the thousands of dollars I met...

I use to have 2 12in ASI subs but they sounded like crap and since i was just starting to build my system i didn't know what i had. So after about 2 days i of having that system the subs blew out so i just got 1 10in. L7 it's not much but i sure hits loud as hell alot louder then those 2 12's i had. i have it hooked up to a Fosgate r500-1.

i love the 1500.1

i had it pushing 1 l7 15 it was grate till it caught on fire in my back seat but that was my 3rd one and i still haven learned i want a another one lol

Single Solo L7 12"

had a 2006 S12L7 last year and sold it to a friend. bought a new 2009 model and had the L-type ported enclosure custom made. placed it inside my mitsu wagon and paired it up with a performance teknique 2000watt mono amp and it sounds like a one has beaten my setup in ma hood...even put a 15 inch digital design H model out of commission!!!!!

kicker X

i have a 12" kicker X and ive had it 4 awhile i have the hyfonics brutis 2600. with a 7 farret cap and a back up battery in a 95 camaro z28 ive had alot of systems in my time but nothing compares to this one i use 2 have a mini van with 5 subs but my one kicker beats all i have shut down every sytem but the one im most happy with is stopping on 2 bosten g2 or g5 but they had there system all the way up but all they felt was my system and i just got 2 kicker L7s in a box i put it in and it was sick im having a custom box being made right now for the 3 so ill b ready 4 some competions. so if u have a kicker system u no u have the best and if ur thinking of what 2get dont b cheap just get the best and we all no kicker is the best

i had my two S15L7 dual 4ohms since 2000 in a sealed box 1.9cf per woofer with a fosgate 800a2 to each of them at 1ohm and ten years later still hitting hard.

i love kicker, wouldnt go for
